LUSTRE IRIS 14 is a lustre that gives a "Mother
of Pearl" effect on glass, porcelain and earthenware. It can be applied by
brushing or spraying. In both cases Lustre Iris 14 must be diluted with
THINNER BD 61.
For brushing add about 25%; for spraying add
from 90% to 300% of thinner. The proper pressure for spraying is 0.7 to 1.1
Kg/cmq. The object to be decorated should be held at a distance from 15 to
50 cm., depending on its size. Be sure that the compressed air is dry,
because water will cause white spots after firing.Firing temperature of the
object is from 480°C to 850°C, depending on whether it is glass, earthware
of porcelain.
LUSTRE IRIS 5 is the same as Lustre Iris 14,
but the final result is a shiny appearance. Excellent results are obtained
using objects with dark glazes. Firing temperature is the same a Lustre Iris
14.
